About:

This species is very similar to S. biflorus; however, it is specifically found in the drier areas located east of the South Island's main divide. Additionally, this plant exhibits a tighter growth habit, and the foliage showcases a more pronounced yellowish-green colour compared to its counterparts.

Natural habitat:

Coastal to high alpine in exposed rocky areas or cliff faces.

Growing environment:

Frost, Sun, Wind, Coastal & Free draining tolerant.

New Zealand’s South Island in the drier areas of the main divide
