At Nelson Natives, we’re passionate about New Zealand’s native plants and the role they play in restoring and enriching our landscapes. Over the past few years, we’ve experimented with different propagation and cultivation techniques to find the best ways to grow and nurture our indigenous flora—especially those native to the Nelson Tasman region.

Now, we want to share our knowledge, inspire others to plant natives, and showcase the incredible variety of plants suited to all environments. No matter where you live or garden, there’s a native species that will thrive in your conditions!

For those who prefer a ready-to-plant solution, we offer a selection of native plants at competitive prices. Plus, with every plant sold, we donate $1 to national conservation efforts, helping to protect and restore New Zealand’s natural heritage.

Beyond just selling plants, our goal is to educate and promote environmental stewardship “Kaitiakitanga”. Bychoosing natives over exotics, supporting regeneration projects—big or small—and protecting the ecosystems we have left, we can work towards a future where people and nature thrive together.
