About:
A low-growing tussock that typically reaches a height of about 25cm, showcasing delicate pale green to light brown needle-like foliage. The flowering stems can extend up to 50cm tall, adorned with light golden spikelets that add a subtle beauty to the landscape. This plant is quite common in montane areas throughout New Zealand, where it thrives. It grows happily in dry conditions, making it a resilient choice for various environments.
Natural habitat:
Montane to alpine mainly in grassland, herb and fell-field, but also on rocky bluffs, especially in the northern part of its range.

Frost, Sun, Drought, Wind & Free draining tolerant.

New Zealand’s North Island from Te Moehau, Mt Pirongia and the Raukumara Range south. Throughout the South Island
