About:

A low, spreading plant characterised by loosely branched stems, it features small, narrow leaves that display a light to yellowish-green hue. In late summer, this charming plant is adorned with a profusion of small, creamy white flowers that add a touch of beauty to its appearance. This species can be commonly found growing in lowland to low-alpine areas, particularly from the lower North Island southward, thriving in a variety of habitats.

Natural habitat:

Lowland to low alpine elevations (1300m) on open, stony or rocky sites, including gravelly moraines.

Growing environment:

Frost, Sun, Wetland, Wind & Free draining tolerant.

Endemic distribution:

New Zealand’s North, South & Stewart Island’s. In the North it is found on Mt Egmont/Taranaki and from the Ruahine Range southwards. In the South it grows in most of the wetter areas.
