This species is a bushy shrub that typically grows to a height of 3 to 5m, and it can be commonly found in regions from the Coromandel Peninsula extending northwards. The leaves of this shrub consist of 3 to 5 narrow oblong leaflets, each featuring coarsely serrated edges that contribute to its distinctive appearance. The colour of its foliage can vary, showcasing a range that goes from a yellowish green to a beautiful bronze hue, depending on the light and environmental conditions.

Coastal and lowland forest and shrub-land. Sea-level to 750m. A common component of the sites it inhabits

How to grow:

Easy from fresh seed. Can be grown from semi-hardwood cuttings, though these can be slow to strike.
