About:
A rather attractive herbaceous ground cover with vibrant lime green leaves, which are densely covered in soft hairs, creating a unique texture. This plant is known for its fast growth and dense habit, making it an excellent choice for filling spaces quickly. It thrives best in a cold climate, where it can flourish and showcase its full beauty.
Natural habitat:
Lowland to montane. Usually in forest. Occasionally along river banks in frost flats. Uncommon in the drier parts of the eastern North and South Islands.
Growing environment:
Frost, Shade, Wetland & Wind tolerant.
Endemic distribution:
New Zealand’s North (scarce north of Waipoua, Little and Great Barrier Islands) South, Stewart and Chatham Islands.

October – June with a orange coloured berry.
