About:

The Balfour's nertera forms charming pillows that are less extensive in size than N. depressa, which can reach diameters of up to 25 cm. This particular species differs primarily in the shape and appearance of its fruits, which resemble tiny, bright orange pears, adding a unique and visually appealing characteristic to the plant.

Natural habitat:

Damp and boggy ground from lowland to the sub-alpine zone, especially amongst sphagnum moss

Shade & Wetland tolerant.

How to grow:

Easily grown from fresh seed or division. Requires a light well-drained soil in semi-shade and shelter from cold winds
