Native to coastal regions of New Zealand, this plant develops into a soft bush reaching heights of up to 50 cm. It features small, attractive grey leaves and produces flaring white flowers in spring and summer. This species is particularly charming as a border plant and is well-suited for a cottage garden environment. It thrives in well-drained soil and prefers sun or semi-shade. While it may have a short lifespan, it tends to self-seed easily. Regular pruning can help maintain a rounded shape of foliage and flowers.

Natural habitat:

Coastal environments such as rocky places and dunes but also in inland lower montane zones, often in areas subject to gale-force & salt-laden winds.

Sun, Shade, Salt, Wind, Coastal & Free draining tolerant.

Endemic distribution:

New Zealand’s North, South, Stewart and Chatham Islands.
