About:
Found in the montane to alpine regions of the South Island, this plant typically thrives in permanently wet habitats. The leaves are somewhat fleshy and resemble grass, reaching lengths of up to 30cm. During the summer months, it produces clusters of striking yellow daisies that measure between 4 to 5cm in width, which are borne on stems that can grow up to 50cm tall. This species is known to be challenging to maintain in a garden setting. It requires a rich, deep, and consistently moist soil, preferably in shaded or semi-shaded areas to flourish successfully.

New Zealand’s South and Stewart Islands.

How to grow:

** Seed germinates without pre treatment. 4 weeks cold stratification will help speed this up though
