Dendro Hypopterygium filiculiforme is a distinctive moss characterised by its erect branches, which elegantly bear large, umbrella-shaped, and flat fronds that can reach impressive sizes of up to 6cm in diameter. The primary and secondary branches are notably robust, providing solid support for a lush, carpet-like foliage made up of overlapping leaves. Each secondary branch features two rows of large lateral leaves, creating a striking display, along with a third row of smaller under-leaves that add to the overall texture and richness of this moss’s appearance.

Found in damp, sheltered forest and along stream sides.
