About:

The shrub is a very common bushy plant often found in various landscapes, or it may take the form of a low-growing mound in certain coastal areas. It features wide-angled branches that hold clusters of pairs of variably shaped, dark green glossy narrow leaves, which provide a lush appearance. The fruits of this plant are a pale blue colour, serving as an important food source for native birds and lizards, contributing to the diverse ecosystem in which it thrives. 

Natural habitat:

Found throughout New Zealand in diverse settings from coastal salt marshes to dry woodlands.

Shade, Frost, Wind, Coastal & Free draining tolerant.

** Seed germinates without pre treatment. 4 weeks cold stratification will help speed this up though.
